Somewhere Under the Rainbow

I was beyond thrilled to learn that two of my books won honors in the 2012 Rainbow Awards, a juried competition that, this year, had more than 480 books to consider.

Category:  BEST LESBIAN CONTEMPORARY GENERAL FICTION

Winner:  Ann McMan, Sidecar

Honorable Mention:  Ann McMan, Jericho

Judge’s Comment on Sidecar:  “This collection was a pleasure to read; each with intelligent and fully developed characters, funny and witty dialogue, and a compelling storyline. Simply enjoyable. Well done.

Category:  BEST LESBIAN DEBUT NOVEL/BOOK

Honorable Mention:  Ann McMan, Jericho

Judges comment on Jericho:  “Great book, great author. Will follow for sure this author in the future.”

Visit the 2012 Rainbow Awards site for the complete list of winners. Congratulations to all the fine authors who are recognized, and thank you to all the folks who make the Rainbow Awards possible.

Congratulations Ann on the awards…well deserved. However, I must respectfully disagree with Honorable Mention for Best Lesbian Debut Novel/Book Jericho should have been the WINNER. Hands down, no questions asked!
